The Observers Club

The Observers Golf Club is a club within CPGC for male golf club full members 18 years of age and over.

New members are welcome and invited to participate in various events throughout the year.

The Observers usually have 3 outings per year to other golf clubs in the Lothians and borders and beyond.

During the playing season we play for a total of 10 cups/trophies either at outings or at CPGC on a free Saturday.

During the playing season there is a singles and pairs matchplay competition where the winner of the singles A championship is crowned Club Champion and plays in the Lothians Champions competition.  The winner of the B Championship goes forward to the Lothians Handicap Competition.  The winners of the pairs competition are invited to play in the Sivewright Quaich team competition the following year.

At the end of the playing season, usually in November we hold our annual dinner and presentation of prizes.

Presently we have 86 members and the annual fee for membership is currently £10.

If you would like to join The Observers Golf Club then speak to either our Captain Derek Parkinson or Vice Captain Liam Gilmore or Secretary Rab Jackson who will be happy to discuss the Observers Golf Club and answer any questions you may have.
